Child & Adult Care Food Program

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded program sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides financial reimbursements to licensed child care providers for serving nutritious meals and snacks to children in their care. The Food Program is a major key to good children's nutrition, makes child care more affordable to low income parents, significantly improves the after-tax income of providers, assists in preparing children to enter school ready to learn, and helps working families work.
